A 40-something PM returns to code.

I spent years building products from the outside —
planning, prioritizing, and shipping.

Now, I'm learning to build them from the inside.

Not as a beginner,
but not as an expert either.

This is not a success story.
It's a work in progress.

Why I started over

After years as a product manager, I realized something: I understood what makes good products — but I wasn't building them myself.

So I decided to go back. Back to code. Back to fundamentals. Back to being uncomfortable again.

What this blog is

This is my learning log. I document:

  • What I build
  • What breaks
  • What I learn (sometimes the hard way)

Most of it is messy. Some of it works. But all of it is real.

How I'm building now

I'm not doing it alone.

I'm learning and building with AI — using it as a tool, not a shortcut.

The goal isn't to move fast. The goal is to understand deeply.

Current focus

  • Rebuilding development fundamentals
  • Shipping small, real projects
  • Exploring AI-assisted development
  • Writing consistently

A note to readers

If you're also starting over — or thinking about it —

you're not late. You're just early in a different timeline.
